once i convinced an american guy that purple (the color) didn’t exist in canada

i pointed to someone’s purple shirt and asked him ‘what’s that?’ pretending that i had never seen that color before in my life. he got so confused and then he got really intense and concerned about it and he went into this elaborate explanation of how purple is this combination of red and blue and he couldn’t believe that canadians had never heard of it

and so i was like ‘you know actually purple is probably illegal in canada and that’s why i’ve never seen it’

and he thought over it for a moment then got all serious and said ‘yeah i can see that’
